Trident Maple (acer buergerianum)
Well known for the superb colors of its foliage in autumn. The bark is a dappled pale brown and exfoliates with age revealing a grey orange and brown color. The small leaves (which resist scorching during drought) have 3 short lobes close together - hence the name Tri-dent.
Sweet Plum (sageretia theezans)
A tropical evergreen tree native to China. Has very small (less than 3/4") green leaves which are lightly veined and almost bronze when they emerge. The Sageretia sheds its bark and the trunk becomes multi-colored.

Also known as Green Island Ficus. Has oval to roundish dark green shiny leaves. Easily form rosetts at the end of its branches if kept trimmed. Branches and fruits well and easily develops aerial roots when kept humid.

A globe shaped dwarf with needles half as long as those of the species. Has soft flexible needles and purple-red cones. Soft reddish bark. Originated from a witches'-broom which is a dense abnormal growth that arises from mutated buds on coniferous trees. Hardy. Keep outdoors.

Jaboticaba (eugenia cauliflora)
Native to southern Brazil the Jaboticaba, pronounced in five (5) syllables just as it is spelled, is a member of the Myrtle family and relative of the Guava. The botanical name "Cauliflora" means that it flowers and bears fruit on the trunk and mature branches.
